kyla's book

I sent Kyla's book off today, but before I sent it I took a couple of scans
of what it looks like so far . . . . so exciting! Here is Kyla's cover; it's harder to close now . . .

Below, you'll see Linda Koch's work is on the left and Michelle Dressler's is on the right . . . .

Below, Sue Simpson's page on the left & Dawn Seller's page on the right! My pages are below in the previous post.

I love the little paper book you created for us to sign in as well. : )) thanks, Kyla! ~ enjoy, your book will be home soon!

Lenna in Kyla's Ladies of the Sea

This is the first bit of art work I have done since moving! It really was great to sit in my studio although everything is still in boxes. I had packed a few things in advance in a tote bag and worked out of that, enjoying my new space. Kyla's book had 5 pages left in it, so I wrote her and asked her if it was OK that I did 2 pages : )) Still plenty of room for Sara & Joyce! I love the way kyla created the base pages for us to work on, and - her theme of "ladies of the sea" came so easily to me. Both of my pages use Alpha Stamp Fabric images from the Mermaids #2 sheet (scroll down once you get there) - yummy! On the more colorful page below I glued paper to the fabric and also used a small transparency of a photo of water that the mermaid is swimming out of . . . I hope you like these pages, Kyla! Click on them for more detail. : ^ ) L e n n a 9/23/07

gorgeous work!

Hi everyone, thought I would pop in and say that I am following your progress with your books... so sorry I had to drop out but I had my best friend pass away and I felt like I couldn't cope with any creativity at the time and luckily I did drop out because my mum had a heartattack a month or so ago and had to have triple by-pass....
so there is no way I could have continued on with any of these gorgeous books...
but like I said, they are just gorgeous - well done!

Dawn in Kyla's Book - Maidens of the Sea

Kyla - your book is absolutely beautiful. I had a lot of fun creating my maiden. Using a fun vintage postcard image, I made her into a mermaid and gave her lots of seashells and shiny things to swim among. I hope you like her.
